Funding Campaign Launched for Publication of Best Arctic Photographs Book

A funding campaign has been launched to help publish an annual luxury book, Best Arctic Photographs, which is the second book in the series

Kiev, Ukraine – A campaign for funding has been launched to help with the publication of a luxury book, which is the Best Arctic Photographs Book. This is the second book in the series and is made up of photos from the Global Arctic Awards international photography competition. The campaign is part of a cool indiegogo project and hopes to raise a total of 20,000 euros for the publication to go ahead.

The Global Arctic Awards international photography competition collects the best images of the Arctic and North taken by people from around the world. More than 300 photographers from 34 countries have submitted photos in 2013, and the money raised from this campaign will enable the publication of this luxury book to go ahead.

Those wishing to contribute can put in as much or as little as they like to the fund, but there are perks available for those who put in certain amounts. The perks received will depend on the amount of money contributed towards the project, but some of the perks being offered include a photography diary, a free copy of the book, a book gift set, two free books with a diary, and even a trip to Yamal for those who donate 4,500 euros or more.

An official involved in the project stated: "We have been eager to get this book published by we were not sure how to raise money for the project. We decided that the indiegogo campaign could be very effective, as it enables those who want to help with the project to pledge an amount they can afford and it also means that they can get something back for their donation."

Those wishing to contribute to the fund will be able to do so until February 15^th 2014, which is when the campaign closes. At this time, any funds collected will be put towards the campaign even if the full amount has not yet been reached.
