Idle Free Systems Appoints Michael Weidler to Controller as Rapid Growth Continues

Idle Free Systems has appointed Michael Weidler as Controller, who will reconcile general ledger and oversee all financial statements and management reports for Idle Free, and prepare materials for communication with key company stakeholders.

Madison, WI  - Idle Free Systems Inc., a leading idle elimination provider for fleets and the only manufacturer of the all-electric APU for the commercial trucking industry, announced the appointment of Michael Weidler as Controller. Weidler will reconcile general ledger and oversee all financial statements and management reports for Idle Free, and prepare materials for communication with key company stakeholders.

The new hire comes as Idle Free continues its rapid growth and expansion. In 2012, the company achieved 250% year-over-year growth in its Idle Free electric APU sales and doubled the size of its manufacturing facility, which facilitated full-scale production capacity by 100%. Idle Free has continued its strong growth in 2013.

“The widespread adoption of our all electric APUs gives fleet managers control over fuel costs, decreases their carbon footprint and increases profitability,” said Robert Hopton, CEO, Idle Free Systems. “Michael has a proven track record of supporting organizational growth given his strong financial acumen. His leadership as our Controller will help us scale faster to take further advantage of the large and growing market opportunity for our brand of APU.”

Weidler joins Idle Free from BouMatic LLC, a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of the highest quality dairy farm equipment. There he oversaw finance, budgeting, treasury and strategic investment analysis. At Semex USA, he managed finance, administrative, corporate governance, and treasury functions; and prior to that he led financial audit engagements of both private and publically traded companies for Ernst & Young LLP.

“Market leading and environmentally conscientious fleets choose Idle Free for their anti-idling technology in order to save more money faster,” said Weidler. “I am delighted to work with the talented team here to continue developing a strategy for innovation and business operations that scale to support our growing customer and dealer base.”

Weidler received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Business in Accounting and has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than ten years.
